It's Pink not Purple

Welcome to our site
"it’s Pink Not Purple” is a collaboration of three artists  painting mostly in triptychs. Each canvas represents  their individual and unique style but comes together to form one painting. Whether painted in oil or acrylic, the subjects are eclectic and sometimes abstract with a deep expression in use of vibrant and bold colors.

Meet The Artists
  1. Beatrix Krell
I am a self-taught artist, most of my paintings are created in oil but I also work in acrylics and watercolors. I enjoy painting human figures, landscapes and abstracts. Most of my life I was interested in art, but it was not until 2003 that I started to paint on a regular basis. I was born in Germany, where I graduated as a registered nurse and moved to the U.S. in 1991.
  2. Yvonne Gambino
I was born in West Berlin, Germany and presently resides in Flower Mound Texas, where I enjoy painting in oil, acrylics and watercolors. As a self-taught artist, my primary source of inspiration for my paintings comes from my enjoyment in nature as well as my travels through Europe and the U.S. Recently, I have ventured out to paint more abstract pieces and have enjoyed painting collaboratively with Beatrix and Sylvia, under the name "it's Pink not Purple".
  3. Sylvia Stehsel
I am a native Texan and have lived in the DFW area for over 20 years. Being that I have a BS degree and ended my career in Audit proves that it's never too late to re-kindle the passion and pursuit of a lifelong dream of becoming an artist. I am a self-taught artist and have been painting since 2003, exploring in various techniques and themes in both oil and acrylic. Fascinated by texture and color, I consider myself an eclectic artist painting from traditional to abstract art.
